Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is, some say, the original asana. Poses are held for several minutes, allowing the body time to increase circulation in connective tissues. In these gentle, non-muscular asanas, energy meridians throughout the body are stimulated, making the effects of this practice similar to acupuncture or acupressure treatments.

Yin Yoga can go as deep as you want it to. Whether you are working on your connective tissues to help with sport, releasing tension via meditation and gentle motion or digging deeper into yogic practice, Yin Yoga is probably a good fit for your balanced lifestyle.
