Vinyasa Yoga flows through a creative series of poses, moving with the breath to warm the body and heighten awareness. Balancing with static holds and deep asanas brings focus and clarity.

Yin Yoga is a series of deeply opening yoga poses which are held for very long periods of time, typically 3 to 5 minutes. In "the quiet practice", students are encouraged to listen to their body's needs. The Yin practice increases the elasticity in connective tissues, helps maintain full range of motion in joints and stimulates energy meridians throughout the body.

Yin and Yang Yoga: Fundraiser Update

In Memory of Peter John Kerlin
Sunday, April 27 2008, Om Room School of Yoga, Santa Cruz

Many thanks to everyone who attended the fundraiser or donated to support Santa Cruz's Homeless Garden Project. Together, we were successful in raising the funds to sponsor a local family with a full season scholarship to HGP's organic Community Supported Agriculture produce!

Peter's family, friends and colleagues thank you for your expression of community concern. Peter's spirit of selfless giving shines on.

Stop by the HGP at 30 West Cliff Drive, Wednesday through Friday, to inquire about personal 2009 CSA shares and to purchase organic products from the store, or visit the Homegrown Gardens nursery at 601 Shaffer Road to find living plants for your home and garden.
